Position Overview
Autodesk Finance offers a challenging and exciting environment for finance professionals. This is a Financial Analyst role that works directly with ACS’s Finance Business Partners to manage variable operating expenses. There are tight deadlines and a need for accuracy, sensitivity, and flexibility. Effective communication, thorough self-review of your work product, proactive inquiry, and the ability to collaborate well with a team and business are required attributes to be successful in this role. This position will report directly to a Sr. FBP on the ACS finance team, primary location Manchester NH, but will consider SF location for internal candidates.
Responsibilities
• Joint ownership of quarterly forecast to land the quarter within 1% forecast accuracy within global guidelines
• Open Ariba requisitions to establish POs for outside vendors
• Communicate with contract leads on a variety of issues including new vendor status, contracts, invoices, project completion status.
• Primary finance contact for ACS business Managers and Directors for your business units
• Collaborate with ACS finance Team partners to support overall division spend processes
• Drive quarter-end reporting and processes for your business units
• First line of approval for all expenditures
• Provide recurring reporting on forecasting and forecast versus actuals
• Follow-up with external parties to ensure spend envelope is maximized in adherence with global standards
• Collaborate as a team member toward goals, process improvements, and ad hoc projects as needed
• Prepare quarter-end accruals and reclasses
• Frequent meetings with internal stakeholders to resolve their needs and support decision making
• Support department by creating and maintaining documents such as policies and procedures, etc.
• Interact with internal and external customers. Responds to inquiries and handles requests for information. May advise others on departmental policies and procedures
• Manage information by organizing and tracking databases to synthesize and generate reports. Performs data entry of material from source documents to a computer database. May perform transfer of information from one system to another
Minimum Qualifications
• 4-year degree in Finance/Accounting; and minimum 2 years of experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to communicate with a non-technical audience, understand business needs, and translate them into technical finance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of SAP GL, Ariba Purchasing, Business Objects Reporting
• Experience working on detailed reporting with the bottoms-up approach
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statements
• Proven record working with a team towards continuous improvement
