THE ROLE: Lead Network Architect
Lead Network Architect is a position designed for a professional looking to leverage their experience and take on a new challenge. This role will have responsibility for all aspects of Networking. This person will own strategic planning and design, architecture and capacity planning across the global enterprise.
The first and foremost duty is to build the networks by taking into consideration various factors like, bandwidth requirements, infrastructure requirements and security. They must plan and design in advance and should often participate in the implementation of network designs. The professional has to understand the data communication needs and come up with the best solutions to meet the requirements. The Network Architect has to take care of the designing servers, configuring components and resolving any issues prior to implementation.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Network Architects must complete various tasks in order to install, upgrade and maintain corporate network systems. Network Architect’s have the following duties and responsibilities.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture blueprints that document our network strategy, future state of technology architecture, and multiyear execution roadmap
• Creates and documents standards and patterns that can be leveraged for future re-use, and actively seek opportunities to leverage industry solutions for new business offerings and services
• Develops and maintains the network reference architecture which includes the business capability reference model, guiding principles, standards, patterns and usage guidelines
• Creates contextual and conceptual models that help document and simplify potentially complex topics
• Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and business stakeholders in the development of the strategic portfolio or business unit plans
• Provides comprehensive analytical thinking to ensure transformation costs, impact and value are properly understood estimated and controlled across people, process and technology
• Collaborates with customers, vendors, industry consultants and senior company leadership to continuously learn and identify opportunities to advance on our network strategy
• Manages the creation and maintenance of models that identify interdependencies between business units, roles, associated capabilities, and technologies
• Possesses strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
• Tailors communications to the senior management level
• Grows and mentors team of network engineers as needed

YOUR STORY: [+BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• Prior experience in network strategic planning, and design coupled with the ability to provide hands-on leadership for the flawless execution of the strategy.
• Prior experience as a network/infra engineer or Solutions Architect (Enterprise Architect) with the more recent experience with managing teams, high value infra projects.
• Have a passion for innovation, utilizing cloud solutions, along with a thorough understanding of telecommunication systems and services.
• A leader that has an in-depth market understanding of the solutions and vendors in this space as well as a POV and/or experience with these solutions and vendors.
• Must be able to be productive in managing resources and have demonstrated the ability to effectively plan for capacity.
• Cloud (AWS & Azure) experience and knowledge.
