Key Responsibilities:
The Commercial Finance Manager will provide key financial guidance in the areas of deal structuring, pricing, contract support, strategic assessment and tactical support, commissions administration and some product level P&L reporting and analysis. He/she will also oversee staff of financial analysts to assist with partnering with Sales S/VPs and product line VPs to provide financial recommendations, ad hoc financial analysis and modeling support.
Essential functions:
• Lead, manage and develop direct reports and the commercial deal structuring process
• Work internally to structure and price deals for Go-To-Markets teams and prepare rationale for leadership team review and approval
• Partner with Sales and cross-functional leaders to provide financial support to maximize the return on financial assets and revenue
• Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analyses for strategic and operational decision making
• Establish the proper controls, processes and procedures to reduce our financial, operational and contractual risks
• Manage, optimize or support the commissions process
• Work closely with other internal departments to ensure financial accuracy and integrity when and wherever possible
• Assist with hiring, training and appraising direct reports
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance or Accounting required. MBA is preferred
• 5-7 years Finance experience with +2 years in a supervisory/manager role
• +3 years Accounting/FP&A experience, preferred
• +2 years deal support and/or pricing experience, preferred
• Excellent Excel & database management skills
• Highly-effective communication skills
