THE DIVISON’S STORY
Original Programming (Network and Studio)
A+E Networks is not in the television business. It’s in the storytelling business. Our job is to bring consumers new ways to experience those stories. We get up every day excited to discover new talent, narratives and characters, and live for any chance to shepherd a great idea through development to air.
THE ROLE: Summer Internship 2019- Lifetime Unscripted Development (Los Angeles)
Interns in the Lifetime Unscripted Development department will learn how a cable television network develops and creatively oversee the production of unscripted television shows. The Unscripted Development department develops shows by taking pitches from outside producers or finding material in-house, developing the pitches or material with producers, deciding which projects will be greenlit to series and then overseeing said projects that are approved for production. The team then works with scheduling, marketing, publicity, and other departments at Lifetime to ensure a successful run of the series.
