Job Title:Inside Team Leader
Reports To:Inside Sales Manager or Director
Department/Division:Global Inside Sales
Purpose of the Role:
The Inside Team Leader has a strong command of market and product knowledge and is accountable for achieving sales and profit objectives by providing leadership to a team assigned to his/her area, managing a small territory and ensuring effective management of resources and coaching of team to meet assigned quotas.
Job Responsibilities:
• Territory Management: Responsible for meeting assigned individual and team territory or district sales quotas.
• Partners with District Managers and Account Executives in the field to create effective sales strategies/action plans that maximize sales.
• Effectively use required territory strategies for managing individual territory
• Conduct webinars, sales presentations and work with team to hone this skillset.
• Responsible for delivery of operational excellence and objectives, including resource allocation and utilization.
• Works with team to develop territory plans with field partners. Facilitates campaign implementation with Inside Sales Campaign Resources.
• Manages the activities of the staff; conducts regular staff meetings and 1:1 sessions. Observes staff by monitoring sales calls, daily responsibilities, and presentations.
• In collaboration with sales manager, conducts objective setting, midpoint and annual appraisal for sales representatives. Provides coaching and developmental feedback as needed. Contributes to attracting, developing, coaching, motivating, empowering and retaining sales professionals.
• Manage and stay within district budgets. Approves sales representatives’ expense reports and per diem expenditures.
• Serves as a liaison to other company functions. Promotes a positive relationship between staff, and all internal teams to create cohesion across content areas. Frequently communicates and collaborates with Sales Managers.
Competencies Core: (Leadership)
Requirements:
• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Master’s desirable)
• 3-5 years sales experience with a proven track record in meeting quota. 1-3 years management experience, inside sales preferred Educational sales experience and teaching skills are desirable.
• Collaboration; decision-making; inter-personal / written / verbal communication; problem-solving; product & market knowledge
• Proficient in MS Office and Sales Management Software
Travel: Requires some travel, 5-10%.
Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
