Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Sponsorship Marketing Manager will generate new and incremental revenue via the sale of in-Park advertising, consumer promotions, event and attraction sponsorship, and experiential programs from the greater St. Louis DMA, as well as maintain and grow relationships with current clients for Six Flags St. Louis and Hurricane Harbor. The Sponsorship Manager will manage the Six Flags St. Louis Corporate Alliances team and is accountable for delivering a superior guest experience, while following the Park mantra and executing all Park policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM SALES
• Identify St. Louis market brand and agency prospects for the sale of customized sponsorship, including experiential and media networks programs.
• Identify partners for park events, attractions, and brand affiliation.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for all key categories.
• Gain access to brand and agency decision makers, present program opportunities, and close local programs garnering sales revenue and promotion of Six Flags St. Louis.
• Maintain excellent client relationships and collect all revenue owed.
PROGRAM EXECUTION & REPORTING
• Manage the activation and post-reporting for all national, regional, and local Corporate Alliances programs that activate at Six Flags St. Louis.
• Direct and manage the daily activities of the Six Flags St. Louis Corporate Alliances fulfillment and street team, ensuring successful execution for each activation.
• Lead Six Flags St. Louis' cooperation and collaboration with the Corporate Alliances Network Services team in Dallas to assist with program coordination (i.e. onsite activation, signage placement, fulfillment reports, compliance photos, client visits, etc.)
• Maintain regular communication with the Six Flags Corporate Alliances corporate management team and Marketing Director to ensure understanding and support for all client partnership initiatives.
• As part of the Park's leadership team, attend bi-weekly director/manager meetings and participate as required in park-wide management duties and partnership initiatives.
• Create and submit required reports.
• Coordinate local activations in partnership with in-Park operating departments and ensure all facets of an agreement are executed on time.
SKILLS
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• 3-5 years of advertising, media, out of home, sponsorship or promotional sales experience.
• Existing contacts within the greater St. Louis area in marketing, media, advertising and the sponsorship community.
• Proven track record of closing sponsorship, promotion and media sales programs.
• Clear understanding of various disciplines of marketing, sponsorship, media and the customer sales cycle.
• Out of the box, creative thinker with an enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to corporate clients, advertising agencies and park management.
• College Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.
• Strong financial skills for budgeting purposes and the ability to analyze statistical information.
• Must be well organized with excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays, when needed.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel locally and state wide on an as needed basis.
