Position Summary
The Activation Specialist, Integrated Ad Sales Marketing, is responsible for supporting the execution of advertiser-based marketing elements and sponsorship programs for Discovery’s networks and digital properties.
Responsibilities
1. Execute custom marketing elements for advertisers including in-show integration, custom short-form videos, content marketing, and digital ad products
2. Provide clear and concise client-facing communication to gather requirements/assets, manage timelines, and provide client deliverables
3. Develop detailed timelines, activation overviews, and content delivery plans for large-scale marketing opportunities
4. Maintain strong working relationships with various internal Discovery teams (Creative Services, Programming Integration, Digital Editorial, and other marketing teams)
5. Maintain detailed project records in a centralized request and tracking system
6. Collaborate with entire marketing team to create new sales opportunities, refine existing opportunities, and improve processes
7. Maintain open communication with supervisor at all times
8. Perform other related duties and tasks as directed
Requirements
• 3-4 years of relevant marketing experience (such as advertising agency, media sales/marketing, event marketing, production, client-side marketing)
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications or a related field, or equivalent combination of skills, training and experience
• Ability to travel domestically as directed to oversee client shoots and attend meetings
• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• A demonstrated understanding of client service and professionalism
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), prefer some experience with Photoshop, web development platforms, and web content management systems
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
