Role Summary
The Senior HR Information System Business Analyst is a key role in the global People Services (PS) department and is the lead role in maintaining and evolving the HRIS systems, overall HR data integrity and security roles, and organization of global employee information across our integrated suite of HR systems. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data, data research, and work flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HRIS Business Analyst also supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned in close coordination with our Technology Services teams. The ideal candidate for this role is both a well experienced analyst who loves working with people data and a strategist who can help take PS and Global Eagle to new heights as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
• Has complete ownership of all People Services systems (HRIS, LMS and Applicant Tracking System) and is responsible for ensuring all systems function and evolve according to the business needs
• Creates and manages data analytics that align with the Company’s business strategy in order to set priorities and objectives
• Identifies processes that can be made more efficient through the use of technology
• Implements and measures the effectiveness of talent management initiatives/solutions
• Project manages implementation of new modules or systems from a People Services perspective
• Develops and coordinates UAT for new modules and systems implementations in collaboration with Global Eagle Technology Service
• Acts as the point of contact for user issues.
• Troubleshoots system issues and ensures timely resolution
• Coordinates account logins with IT Security, drives permission and control groups.
• Partners with People Services Team to provide support in automating transactional work
• Assists in preparing and providing information on employee demographics, trends and projections to senior management.
• Prepares presentations that translates data into meaning business information
• In conjunction with the People Services team performs routine audits on system data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Reviews and validates HRIS SOX reporting
• Assists managers with data mining to provide the most up-to-date and appropriate reporting
• Primary responsibility for scheduled reports and creates ad hoc reports for all administrative departments.
• Provides final data reports in Excel, PDF or other formats as required for presentations, meetings, or other uses.
• Validates and enters People Services team member data in the HRIS for new hires, terminations, titles and status changes.
• Develops user guides and training for end users
• Delivers training to users on new features and modules
• Provides as needed technology support to other People Services areas of excellence
Qualifications/Experience
• BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management or BSc Computer Science
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Experience in HR process development and improvement initiatives
• Experience with the implementation of new systems
• Minimum 7 years of HRIS experience, ideally must have worked with Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion), or similar large system
• Working experience with Taleo, Cornerstone and ADP environments highly preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a role with exposure to multiple facets of HR
• Demonstrated expertise linking HR data to the business leaders’ goals, strategies, and the operational issues that constrain the market and the business
• Expertise with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and other personal computer applications
• Exhibit strong project management skills, which include organization and effective communication to technical and non-technical users
