In order to be successful, theRegional Manager - Inside Sales must be self-driven and have excellent communication, presentation, sales, organization, and computer skills. You will work closely together with the Inside team to promote, sell, negotiate and close deals with our client Universities. You will report to the Regional Manager, Inside Sales and collaborate with the Associate Director/Executive Regional Manager on leading the Inside Sales team. This position is based in Maryland Heights, MO.
Job description:
You will be working in a matrix-driven model, helping to lead an Inside Sales team while directly promoting health science textbooks and digital products to Nursing and Health Professions Programs and Key Decision Makers in Higher Education Institutions. As an associate manager at Elsevier, you will work closely with the Regional Manager to define processes, coach sales consultants, and work with institutions to transform their programs and implement ground breaking curriculum delivery and adaptive technology solutions. You will establish revenue increases and help consultants reach sales goals by using data-driven insights and prescribing actions to maximize their performance. You will be trained on all products to demonstrate the full value of the Elsevier product suite, which include textbooks, online, and electronic educational resources. This position will require you to be very proactive, anticipating and identifying customer needs through solution-based selling techniques.
What you should bring
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service or other Customer-facing roles; Management experience preferred.
• Proven track record of sales success, meeting and/or exceeding sales goals a majority of years.
• Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with above average skills in self learning, prioritization, and time management.
• Requires an individual with the ability to probe, recognize customer’s needs, convey solutions and maintain a positive and professional image via telephone, email, webinar and in person with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• A passion for winning, and leading others to success.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills in English
• Background in customer engagement and driving customer adoption
• A genuine interest in health science education and the integration of technology into the educational arena
• High-energy, positive attitude
