Account Manager, Airbnb
The Opportunity
Hearst Magazines is seeking an Account Manager for a newly created position to increase ad sales revenue for Airbnb Magazine, Hearst’s joint venture with Airbnb. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter who has a background in the Home/Design and/or Fashion/Accessories advertising sales categories.
Key Responsibilities
*Drive advertising revenue for Airbnb Magazine.
*Spread awareness and interest in Airbnb Magazine through sales calls, presentations, emails and phone calls.
*Target 10 sales calls per week with a consultative approach.
*Thorough follow up required.
*Build and maintain strong client and agency relationships at all levels.
*Collaborate with internal marketing to develop new category specific sales materials.
*Communicate regularly and effectively on account status with airbnmag team.
Requirements/Skill/Experience
*Ideal candidate would have 5+ years advertising sales experience with emphasis on Home/Design and/or Fashion/Accessories category.
*Existing client and agency contacts preferred in order to make a quick impact on sales.
*Ability to work in a start-up environment.
*Candidate must be an entrepreneurial self-starter.
*Results oriented track record.
*Excellent presentation and organization skills.
*Enthusiastic, can-do attitude with pleasing persistence.
