Air-Sea Packing Group, Inc. is seeking a talented and driven Senior Client Manager to join our organization. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic professional with a flawless attention to detail, excellent communication and project management skills along with the ability to provide world-class service to our exclusive clientele. The ideal candidate must understand exceptional customer service and must have a track-record exuding such understanding.
In this role you will coordinate internal and external resources across teams and within our Customer Relationship Management system. Additionally managing projects and providing guidance to other members of the Client Services team for all aspects of the job from; International shipping compliance and regulations; planning and pricing through execution; ensuring successful delivery of services, as well as ensuring client services engagements/activities are logged via CRM, where applicable.
Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
• Create/generate all project documentation and work with internal departments and external vendors to execute service request while ensuring timely and successful completion of projects.
• Coordinate the delivery/pick-up of customer property in collaboration with Specialists, Customer Service and Warehouse personnel through the use of vendors, common carriers and local delivery.
• Utilize a consultative approach to develop an estimate addressing clients business needs.
• Ensure estimates, work orders, and invoices are clear, accurate and that they capture all services provided in chronological order.
• Create and review invoices for accuracy and ensure invoices are approved in a timely manner.
• Develop relationships with shipping vendors. Obtain and compare quotes of several vendors and compare with cost of in-house resources.
• Troubleshoot problematic shipments and research missing inventory.
• Review and approve all freight invoices.
• Assist with commercial invoices for exports and imports.
• Monitor e-mail communication and respond accordingly and timely.
• Provide general customer service including answering phones and directing clients and calls.
Desired skills and experience:
• Experience coordinating major domestic and international consolidations including courier supervision.
• Experience managing complex and large scale projects within a premium market (planning, pricing, execution and follow-up) to ensure the client receives an exceptional service experience.
• Experience contributing to the client services culture within an organization.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years in a project management or international shipping coordination role.
• Must have a minimum of four years’ experience in logistics, transportation or distribution.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and respect time management principles with the ability to multi-task and provide world-class customer service while handling high volumes at a fast pace.
• Must be a team player with proven problem-solving and decision-making skills; strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
• Exceptional diligence and attention to detail as well as resourceful.
• Must be a strategic thinker.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook; Excel knowledge a plus.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
