The Director, Integrated Marketing role is strategic, revenue-focused leadership position supporting the various sales functions of our Ziff Davis Tech & Mashable portfolio. Through this role, the Director will balance creativity, media business experience, brand strategy and team building to develop advertising solutions and positioning strategies that drive revenue for our Company and produce results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the team. Oversee various capacities of Integrated Marketing department – hire, train and nurture staff. Build community, identify individual strengths and passions, challenge people to grow and hold them accountable for hitting their goals. Build a bench of talent we can draw upon our needs evolve.
• Crush revenue goals. Provide holistic support to the various sales organizations at our Company. Working across the life cycle of a campaign, anticipate needs, address problems, source and implement solutions and empower our sellers to pitch with confidence.
• Build products that sell and campaign strategies that delight our clients. Under guidance of senior management, but delegating responsibility where appropriate to junior staff, consult with subject matter experts across the portfolio to continuously develop, evolve and maintain the portfolio of solutions available to our advertising partners.
• Test for success. Create financial business models supporting new/proposed products, events and initiatives and coach junior staff to share in this responsibility.
• Define the strategy and craft the pitch. In partnership with senior management, set the tone for our overarching go-to-market strategy for products, capabilities and brand positioning. On both a reactive and proactive basis, create sales collateral (pitch decks, sell sheets, digital content, etc).
• Scale our services. Build and maintain library of sales collateral, advise on process improvements to drive efficiency and clarity, recommend tool enhancements and partnerships to improve productivity and capability.
• Support portfolio Trade Marketing needs, working with senior management to build and execute annual strategic plan. Gather relevant inputs from primary stakeholders and analyze market and competitive landscape to create a defensible strategy that that delivers value to ZDT&C portfolio, including display, commerce, licensing, data and B2B businesses.
• Work with management to source, develop, monetize and manage partnerships with external companies, organizations and individuals.
• If needed, attend in-person sales calls to support information-gathering, sell-through, project management and relationship-building aspects of our touch-points with our clients and partners.
• Actively observe and participate in broader digital advertising industry, including analysis of competitive landscape. Monitor trends, share insights, feed leads and contribute to the development of new products and opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience
• 5-7 years related experience in an agency, ad network, or publisher environment
• A clear, concise writing style with a dash of showmanship; knowledge of industry best practices for sales copywriting a must
• Demonstrated experience developing digital media products for advertising clients
• Experience and willingness to work in more than one capacity, servicing a variety of clients including consumer and B2B spheres of business; ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Experience supervising and nurturing junior staff
• Strong presentation and intrapersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated capacity to build healthy working relationships and to diplomatically balance competing opinions, priorities and directions
• Maturity to take and give criticism and direction
• Self-starter; able thrive with minimal supervision and resourceful to seek and source support beyond immediate management layers
Position based in NYC
