The Sales Coordinator will primarily support the Vice President of Special Markets, Director, and on an as-needed basis support the 3 Special Markets Channel Managers.
Coordinator will be responsible for administrative duties, such as managing orders and effectively working with the customer service and warehouse departments to process orders, special promotions and bids, send samples, solve order problems, set up new accounts, resolve stock and vendor compliance issues. Create dynamic sales materials to aid sales meetings with mass market and specialty gift reps in order to gain product placement. Work with distribution clients to ensure stock and availability for seasonal and planogram placement. Utilize databases (Insight, Launchpad, SAP, TMM, Excel, NPD/Bookscan) to track sales performance, data, stock, etc. Provide responsive customer service before, during and beyond the selling opportunity. Set up and maintain all new and existing products for mass merchant. Oversee and manage all aspects of co-op and send weekly/monthly reporting to Business Analyst. Research and analyze industry trends, competitor offerings, and key selling opportunities to maximize revenue potential, formulate sales response and communicate to upper management.
This position is a customer facing one, but will also handle the research, creation, and distribution of sales reports and sales presentation materials, requesting commission payments for outside representation and the payment of department invoices, and occasionally the preparation of confidential material. This position will also work on special projects for sales and sales representatives such as database management, mailings, trade show follow up, and lead qualification as needed.
Job Requirements
1-3 years experience in secretarial/administrative capacity and/or some trade book experience required. BA/BS required. Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes required. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, as is the ability to multitask and to adapt to changing priorities with ease.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
