Overview
The Systems Analyst - Workday leads an execution of administrative processes and maintenance duties of the Tribune Media Workday SaaS applications and provides ongoing support and testing for ETL’s and integrations between Workday and other applications. The candidate will be instrumental in managing key elements of our Workday implementation, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, EIB’s, performance, QA, capacity management or complex environment configurations.
This Systems Analyst will work in an administrative role as well as within project teams while supporting multiple Workday tenants. The Systems Analyst will track new features in Workday service updates, and understand the impact to the Tribune Media business processes and environment. Additionally, this position will require as an administrator to develop and execute test scripts to evaluate new releases of Workday and assess the impact to Tribune Media.
This position will also assist as a backup with administration and support of our FP&A application, Anaplan. This position involves selecting and recommending tools and solutions that work with Workday ecosystem that meets Tribune Media’s enterprise needs, and reviewing performance and efficient use of resources, and integrations of multiple systems and technologies to ensure quality product use as well as quality project delivery that is on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of on premise and SaaS architectures
• Experience with hands-on administration of Workday Finance and HCM applications
• QA testing, EIB configurations and processing
• Preparing change management documentation
• Experience with Workday Upgrades/New Features Management
• Experience with Workday Reports and configuring Workday Business Process steps
• Working knowledge of integration tools, and Workday Studio and methods for management of existing integrations
• Collaborate with various teams and prioritize and manage the environment management for Tribune Media
• Create roadmaps and timing of upgrades and maintenance for Tribune Media development environment
• Develop and document policies and procedures for integration processing
• Document policies and procedures for Workday support tasks and change management
• Work effectively on multiple projects concurrently, when necessary
• Establish optimized set of tools and structures around projects and financial management
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering preferred, this is a highly technical position and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
• 2+ years of experience with WorkDay, Workday business processes and the WorkDay integration tool set including EIB integrations, custom reports and calculated fields
• Change management policies
• QA testing
• Workday EIB configurations
• Must be available 24 hours a day for support issues or for weekend work in order to meet established deadlines.
