Job Description
We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant at our Blue Mammoth Games, a Ubisoft Studio. This role will be responsible for all operational accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, as well as supporting certain functions of office management. The person will support two business units including the one in the U.S. and one in Netherlands. This position will be located in Atlanta, GA, and report to the Assistant Controller located in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
Accounting
• Own the accounting functions including journal entry preparation, month-end close processes, financial reporting accuracy, GL account reconciliations, and analysis of key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Accurately maintain accounting documents and records.
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Manage vendor accounts which include paying vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying Federal ID numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Receive Purchase Order from customers and generate invoices for billing purpose.
• Collaborate with France HQ to reconcile intercompany entries within PeopleSoft.
• Coordinate timely preparation of monthly reporting deliverables.
• Manage R&D intercompany monthly rebill process and weekly timesheets for four studio entities.
• Set-up and manage production third party contracts and invoices in PeopleSoft World.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly royalty statements.
• Work with the assistant controller and/or the management team on other ad-hoc analyses or projects as requested.
Office Management
• Manage contract and price negotiations with vendors, service providers and building management
• Manage the building lease, office supply orders and work with vendors on facilities issues
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Legal, IT, Facilities and HR departments in the San Francisco office on various issues
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience with bookkeeping, experience with multiple accounts preferred
• Experience with full-cycle AP, AR with month-end close required
• Strong accounting and analytical skills. Good command with Excel and data
• Ability to work well with co-workers and manager in a remote office
• Be a self-starter, have a positive attitude, maintain a solution-oriented work ethic.

• Ability to work dynamically with a variety of internal business partners (financial and non-financial personnel both within the US and abroad).
