The Content Producer for the Higher Education Information Technology discipline list will help to ensure product assembly and execution of the product build according to specified objectives - volume, cost, time and quality. The Content Producer is part of the team that executes annual plans and organizes and prioritizes tasks and teams to ensure delivery within articulated budget and road map. The Content Producer works with other parts of the organization as necessary to ensure support in attaining output, quality and productivity.
The Content Producer is responsible for the following:
• is responsible for content production of selected print, digital, and supplement content.
• is responsible for applying content structure, enrichment standards, and other compliance standards (e.g. accessibility).
• is responsible for digital course ware content that will be used in both print and digital delivery.
• is responsible for identifying and managing vendors for quality compliance, schedule and budget, and provides feedback on performance.
• is responsible for communication across cross-functional teams regarding workflow related to production of print and digital content.
• is responsible for managing the change control process, and impartially resolving process issues and bottlenecks, as applicable.
• is responsible for communicating with teams and building processes that support content development and production workflow.
• supports the delivery of efficacy requirements at product lifecycle stage gates in content development.
• includes in program planning the addition of content metadata and ensures that content is sufficiently enriched and appropriately formatted to deliver efficacy analytics for high impact on learner outcomes.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience
• Minimum of 4-6 years managing small to medium-sized project/initiative teams using project management tool sets (smartsheets, Projects, etc.)
• Proven track record of communicating and influencing senior level management and stakeholders
• Experience managing content and content workflows within technical environments - planning and delivering technical and print products and experience
• Proven success in risk identification, monitoring and mitigation and development and use of change control processes are especially important
Formal education or equivalent
• Strong academic grounding – BA required
• Project Management certification, PMP (PMI) or equivalent
• Optional: Agile education or certification

• Ability to influence and negotiate where necessary with peers, project team, sponsors/stakeholders and other internal teams as needed

Has a decent understanding of how text category is related to other product categories. Has working knowledge of the specificities of one's dedicated segment.

Works with other parts of the organization, with minimal guidance (e.g. portfolio management and product management teams) as necessary to ensure support in attaining output, quality and productivity. Maintains communication with sister products in the portfolio.

Seeks for better understanding of product specifications in the light of learner's needs and expectations. Part of the team responsible for defining and ensuring adherence to media standards for one's category and makes necessary delivery trades-offs with the learner's use in mind.
Helps resolve bottlenecks, with minimal guidance, and stability issues by communicating a big picture understanding of interconnecting components for a particular courseware product.
Part of the team responsible for content and final integration QA for the category
Transformer:
Part of the team responsible for applying content structure, enrichment and other compliance standards, and for identifying potential enhancements in this field.
Assists, with minimal guidance, in flagging areas of improvement in terms of production flow or relationships with vendors in order to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
