JOB DESCRIPTION
The Circulation and Database Marketing Manager will manage all aspects of direct mail circulation for the Expeditions Travel business including list selection, vendor management and merges. The position will manage list selection for direct and digital marketing, including the identification of new targeted prospect tests. This position will conduct analysis on marketing campaigns and develop actionable insights as well as recommend testing opportunities. This position will liaise with the Consumer Insights and Analytics team on marketing research and trends. They will also manage our CRM and launch to a new vendor.
Responsibilities:
• Work with NGP Insights and Analytics team and database modeling team to identify new targets for direct mail campaigns and evaluate marketing opportunities.
• Manage all aspects of direct mail circulation planning, merges, forecasting, analysis, growth and implementation for all National Geographic Travel programs.
• Develop strategies to maximize opportunities for finding new customers online.
• Manage digital circulation (e.g. email campaigns and targeted ad campaigns).
• Manage current CRM and marketing reports within that system.
• Manage the day-to-day launch of a new CRM with Salesforce for Expeditions with our Global Systems teams.
• Work closely with marketing team to implement marketing source attribution and analyze campaign results.
• Increase ROI and determine acquisition costs, lifetime value and other key metrics.
• Internal liaison for market research and trends.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of catalog circulation and/or database-driven direct marketing experience, including direct mail, list planning, digital media, analysis, reporting, and modeling.
• Travel industry knowledge and experience a plus.
• English/excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Analyze key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to conduct in-depth business analysis with a focus on maximizing ROI and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong critical thinking.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote).
• Demonstrates excellence in direct and digital marketing. Self-directed, well organized, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
