Job Description
CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study. Interns in the Consumer Finance department will be challenged to apply their knowledge gained in the classroom to real world problems. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience working on real world Innovation initiatives for a Fortune 200 company.
The Data Automation and Audit intern is responsible for:
• Creating and running specified data retrieval scripts
• Sorting data into priorities with focus on high priorities
• Analyzing retrived data and create scripts for minor fixes
• Engaging planner and submit site surveys and work with the field on data fixes
Qualifications
Preferred Requirements:
Experience maintaining and develop software programs
• Working knowledge of C++ and Java
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Familiarity with GIS-Arcmap and Google Earth
• Familiarity with Visual Studio
Research and remedy data discrepancies
• Implement and document standards
• Work with planners, field technicians and database managers
Minimum Requirements:
• Pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Related Field at an accredited College or University
• Academic and/or work experience related to the field of research, as defined by the University representative/reference.
• 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.
• Excellent English oral and written communications skills.
• Must be self-motivated, inquisitive, highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills and ability to meet project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analysis skills; asking good questions; following up in a constructive and productive manner.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Has a track record as a self-starter with the ability to work well with minimal direction and the discipline to meet deadlines on time.
• Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
