Overview
The Marketing Associate assists the Sr. Marketing Director for Kidz Bibles and Sr. Marketing Director and NIV Brand Manager with a variety of administrative support functions related to the execution of marketing campaigns under the direction of the Sr. Marketing Director.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist with the execution of Kidz Bible Marketing and NIV Brand campaigns as needed
• Work alongside the Sr. Marketing Associate on catalog development for Kidz Bibles including the annual print catalog, seasonal digital catalogs, Sales Conference catalogs and occasional custom catalogs
• Monitor real time results of digital ads on a daily basis and adapt as necessary to optimize
• Assist with the creation of PowerPoint slides for various presentations
• Assist with meeting preparations with outside guests
• Help in the development of websites and landing pages
• Manage the process of creating print and digital samplers
• Assist with market research related to copywriting, positioning strategies, and cover design
• Coordinate the media buying process (reserve ads, record the media schedule, create tags and trackable links, deliver files, and track and report on results)
• Create social mediacontent and scheduling as needed, pull/develop content from books for press materials and marketing collateral
• Maintain image library of lifestyle photos
• Coordinate the copywriting process by routing approved marketing copy and then entering and updating final copy as needed into the HCCP database
• Assist with copywriting of ads and packaging
• Help create and schedule email sends with Digital Marketing Manager
• Assist with preparations for Sales Conferences
• Enter and update metadata as needed in MDM
• Assist the Sales Team and Customer Service Team with marketing-related questions and needs
• Manage special mailings
• Assist with pre-and post-show event planning for conferences and tradeshows
• Research potential award competitions and determine product submissions
• Enter complimentary orders through the HCCP order entry system
• Capture action items at various meetings
• Submit product images and product copy to retailers as needed
• Process paperwork related to working with independent contractors
• Submit reprint corrections as requested
• Process trademark submissions
• Assist with gathering images of current kid’s trends and fashion for cover design
Qualifications
Knowledge:
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of Adobe software required; proficiency preferred (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).
Work Experience:0-2 years of previous marketing experience preferred, or combination of internships and part-time experiences; design experience a definite plus.
Education:4-year degree in marketing or related field. Other majors welcome when combined with relevant experience.
Industry Knowledge:Knowledge of publishing or other consumer content-related or entertainment industry preferred but not required.
Skills:
• Ability to handle multiple competing projects and priorities at one time
• Superior attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
• Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest)
• Basic level graphic design skills preferred, or willingness to learn design tools for simple social graphic development
