Description
Position Summary:
Receives, handles, stores, issues, and delivers F & B products for LEGOLAND California. Moves products to storage areas utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and or other material moving equipment. Drives a flatbed truck or other vehicle with trailer to deliver materials to on and off-site drop-off points
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for receiving and verifying all F & B deliveries against receiving documents
• Ensures that received products meet all food safety and product quality guidelines
• Assists vendors in loading/unloading vehicles, containers, trailers and vans
• Moves products to storage areas utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and or other material moving equipment
• Ensures that all products are stored in compliance with Food Safety and FIFO guidelines
• Drives a flatbed truck or other vehicle with trailer to deliver materials to on and off-site drop-off points
• Maintains the cleanliness and order of receiving and storage areas including performing daily clean-up activities
• Performs inventory control and consolidates all inventory and ordering systems.
• Maintains propane tanks for all the F & B units, including refilling when needed.
• Coordinates internal deliveries with Warehouse
• Assists in other duties as required by the F & B team
Requirements:
• Six months of general warehouse experience preferred
• Experience in a large retail environment helpful
Education:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination is required
• Some college course work is preferred
Other Requirements:
• Must be able to pass a Food Handler Test
• Capable of being certified to operate a forklift. (Stand-up reach truck)
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings and weekends to support park operations
• Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and be willing to utilize own vehicle for business purposes
• Language Skills: The employee must be able to speak, read, and write the English language. Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one settings and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Mathematical Skills: The employee must possess and be able to perform basis math and counting skills. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement
