Job Summary
CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study. Interns will be challenged to apply their knowledge gained in the classroom to real world problems. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience working on real world Innovation initiatives for a Fortune 200 company.
The Internet Analyst will focus on our Internet and CDN networks. We operate the largest global Internet backbones and the CDN operates on top of that global backbone. This intern will be working with the data we collect and the analysis tools that we have or are developing to provide insights into how these networks are being used. The primary focus will be on the Internet network data using a new analysis tool being deployed in late 2018 early 2019.
Job Description
1. use of the Internet Data Analysis Tools
2. generation of graphs and data analysis based on these tools that answer questions the Internet Architects have provided
3. readouts 2-3 times a week on the data provided
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using of the Internet Data Analysis Tools
•Scripting capabilities involving the generation of graphs and data analysis based on these tools that answer questions the Internet Architects have provided
Minimum Requirements:
• Classification: Senior or Graduate status by start of internship
• Pursing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business related degree such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Related Field at an accredited College or University
• Currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University
• 3.0 or above cumulative GPA must have transportation to/from work daily
data analysis, scripting capabilities, basic programming capabilities, communication skills, presentation building
