Position Overview
Autodesk Consulting is seeking a talented Business Consultant to provide consulting services to key customers in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) domain. This individual will work directly with customers to offer consulting services including process and workflow review/development, implementation and deployment strategy, software training and guidance and industry expertise.

Responsibilities
• Demonstrates excellence in strategic thinking, engagement planning, business process optimization, and communications
• Leads and/or participates in the thought development around new and expanded offerings as part of a comprehensive consulting delivery portfolio
• Be a trusted business partner for the peers and for the customer
• Help prepare, review, and manage deliverables to the customer
• Proactive management and planning for deliverable execution
• Creates and manages processes, priorities and ownership for deliverable work streams
• Attends all customer meetings and helps to lead workshops, reports on Technical Deliverables progress and status
• Establish and maintain expectations on deliverables and quality, establishes and maintains a QA/QC process
• Facilitates resolution of issues related to deliverables
• Ensures effective team dynamics and communication
• Escalates items as needed in an organized and timely way
• Writes documents including project schedules, summaries, procedure guides, process diagrams, flow charts, and best practices guides, agendas, and activity summaries
• Participates in strategic planning for the Construction Consulting and delivery organization
• Ensures that team members perform to the highest level of quality and professionalism
• Advises in project cost estimating of proposed solutions, delivery methodology and work breakdown tasks
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related degree
• Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry
• Must have at least 3 years of experience working with BIM solutions, products, and standards
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues
• Proven ability to work with diversified technical, sales, and project management teams
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
• Must have strong understanding of the construction process from design through building turnover as it relates to design management, project management, cost management, BIM / VDC practices, construction execution, etc.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering effective presentations to teams and to customers
• Must be able to break down complex topics into a common language understandable by non-technical/business oriented audiences
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including international travel
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of industry practices leveraged in business process consulting
• Solid understanding of BIM workflow process between architects, engineers, and contractors
• Experience leading the development and sustainment of a solution portfolio and related offerings
• Previous consulting experience
• BIM management experience is desirable, especially with Design and Construction based software
• Experience with BIM workflow process between architects, engineers and construction leveraging Autodesk products (i.e. Revit, Civil3D, Autodesk Navisworks, Infraworks, etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud-based processes and technologies
