TownNews.com in Moline, IL is hiring for a Web Designer. The web designer is responsible for working on brand new websites and product setups, or updating existing setups, which includes the design, layout and coding, as well as configuration of the BLOX CMS (Content Management System).
Responsibilities:
• Prepare sites and products by configuring CMS software based on customer specifications
• Plan and execute site designs by clarifying goals and design functionality, based on scope defined by customer and project manager
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; collaborate with project managers on multiple, concurrent projects to achieve milestones and objectives
Requirements:
• Two years minimum work experience as a web designer
• Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies; continual professional development with new software developments
• Proficiency in Photoshop or other visual design tools
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS (JavaScript & jQuery a plus)
• Knowledge of responsive web design and browser compatibility across multiple platforms and devices
• Teamwork, ability to communicate well and solve problems creatively and effectively
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
Position directly reports to Design Department Team Lead.
