Job Summary
This role requires knowledge and skills in both Technology () and the Business. The incumbent must have experience on multiple Software Environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments. They are often a highly seasoned senior technologist who has led multiple projects through the Software development process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a particular emphasis on the business outcome, and has usually performed in a variety of different roles in that life cycle. The person needs an ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language that is the parlance of each group. This role will bridge the gap between Product Development & Technology (PD&T) and the business. Consult with the business, help the business with defining business requirements and then turning those requirements into PD&T requirements.
Job Description
• Responsible for the development of the vision that underlies the projected business outcome and leverages the appropriate technology team to enable that business outcome. Becoming involved with a project at the time of inception and is involved in the Functional analysis (FA) of developing the initial requirements. Remain involved throughout the balance of the project as needed.
• Understanding of Solution Architecture, Systems engineering and Software engineering to provide input to and support the development effort of a systems solution.
• This role influences which technologies to use. They work very closely with development teams to ensure proper the business outcome is achieved. They are the link between the needs of the business and the different development teams within PD&T (ditital experience, OSS/BSS backofffice capabilities and network (SDNVN solutions and infrastructure) . They provide continuous communication and current update to executives regarding status, gain leadership responses as required and ensure their input as it relates to the project goals.
• Works with the project management office (PMO) to ensure correct balance of transformational initiatives and BAU projects.
• Serves as an in-house business consultant and partners with the Center’s of Excellence (COE’s) on initiatives and ensure solutions are being worked, answer any questions, etc.
• Recognized as subject matter expert outside the company.
• Contribute to the development of the strategic business plan and work effectively across PD&T to achieve planned goals/objectives.
• Responsible for leading small, high-caliber and strategic teams that provide thought leadership to the company.

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience. Typically with 12+ years related experience or 10+ years related experience with Masters degree.
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of the workings of the business and its strategy.
• Understand and think through business processes, risks, etc to drive to the appropriate business outcomes using sound decision-making.
• Strong ability and track record to bring and lead changes in transformational efforts
• Able to work at a global business unit level; understanding the unique requirements of each assigned business unit and translate those specific needs to the corresponding technology partners in order to deliver successful business outcomes.
• Experience understanding and leveraging analytics to identify business issues and develop corresponding solutions.
• Experience leading others in a large, highly complex and ever-changing organization.
• High level of comfort managing competing priorities, crystallizing ideas and thoughts into plans and activities, handling ambiguity constructively, and rationalizing on strategic and managerial levels.
• Able to build relationships with business and technology partners to influence and collaborate across the organization, strengthen the role of PD&T, and implement initiatives and plans.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency, accountability and holds same standards for the department. High achiever, results-oriented, and decisive hands-on manager with strong project management in a technology environment and business acumen.
• They should have hands-on experience in multiple systems solutions across several disciplines.
• They should possess skill and understanding of a variety of Operating Systems and a have a broad and deep understanding of the current company’s technology systems, products and future capabilities. Able to successfully translate and communicate a technology capability into a business objective to a wide variety of audiences from executives to IC’s.
• Is able to align the business vision with the technology vision and communicates the combined transformational strategy for the company.
• Recognized as a change agent.
