Executive Producer for The Morning Blend needed!
The Morning Blend Executive Producer has overall responsibility for the show, including oversight on content and production, ensuring that the show provides a beneficial broadcast platform for clients and sales as well as a unique entertainment for our local Southern Arizona audience.
• Responsible for managing show content and showcasing across multiple platforms
• Collaborate with Sales, Producers, Talent, Production and Creative Services to select content for the show.
• Provide consistent, creative and innovative show ideas to entice viewers and expand local audience.
• Work with local and national clients to provide scheduling and production, in-house and out.
• Oversee and edit the writing of content, including but not limited to teases, social media and web headlines
• Develop and supervise effective workflow strategies and procedures for multiple programs, talent and show producers.
• Provide regular feedback on show with staff, both as a team and individually
• Supervise pre-production to ensure quality and ethical standards and coordination between Control Room and design staff
• Enforce consistent show branding and graphics usage
• Coordinate talent staff for promotion events in community.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Creative Services Director
Education & Experience/Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, media or related field preferred
• 5-10 years broadcast producing experience (newscast, entertainment, network, etc.)
• 2-3 years management experience preferred
Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge and demonstration of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
• Ability to create tactics and strategies to increase demo performance in key target areas for multiple platforms
• Have working knowledge of federal, state and local laws impacting operations a plus
• Ability to write feature packages, on-air mentions, and copy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under deadline pressures
• Ability to develop creative solutions to problems and come up with clever ideas about a given topic or situation
