Starz is a leading global media and entertainment company that provides premium subscription video and programming and is looking for an experienced and reliable Executive Assistant to the EVP of Human Resources to provide high level administrative and project support. The Executive Assistant will juggle multiple priorities with a strong emphasis on organization and meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, this role provides support to various areas within the Human Resources department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and maintain the EVP’s schedule, travel, phone logs and internal/external obligations with full control and competence.
• Be a gatekeeper for all scheduling requests, incoming calls and internal/external communication.
• Draft and edit communications and presentations to ensure internal communication comes from a central source and messages are branded, clear, concise and appropriate for the intended audience.
• Create and manage the EVP’s expense reports for all corporate charges.
• Assist in the planning and execution of office activities, events and special meetings.
• Coordinate employee on-boarding process including creating new hire packets and employee personnel files.
• Respond to routine inquiries regarding policies, procedures and issues; escalate as necessary to HR leadership.
• Keep apprised and updated on new regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Support the HR team with HR initiatives and program rollouts.
• Generate ad-hoc reports, org charts and HR documents.
• Respond to external general inquiries including completing employment verifications.
• Manage, track, and submit timely invoices for vendor and department expenses.
• Project coordination responsibilities for ad-hoc projects as needed and additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Minimum 4 years’ administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Human Resources experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems; SuccessFactors and ADP experience a plus.
• Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of Company’s operations, policies, procedures and culture.
• Must be highly adaptable to change and comfortable in a fluid environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative with the ability to think ahead and anticipate the needs of the executive.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and recognize importance of multiple situations.
• Must demonstrate agility within a high volume, fast paced work environment.
• Experience in Entertainment and/or Media industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to be flexible as priorities shift within an ever changing business.
• Must be a proactive and positive thinker, professional team player with excellent time management, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
