About the Position:
We are seeking a VP of PR within Grey Activation, Talent & PR to work on the strategic roll out of brand campaigns, new product launches or marketing initiatives to maximize earned media. Whether pitching a business profile, executing a launch event or contingency planning for crisis communications – this individual should have the ability to see big picture and give guidance on the spot to the client, and to the team.
This individual will be the account lead on a number of PR retainer clients and must have the ability to manage simultaneous projects at once. He or she must think strategically and offer creative ideas and solutions to build our clients’ businesses. Strong media relations and management skills are a must. Optimism, passion and a go-getter attitude are essential.
The person in this role will report to our Senior Vice President. Ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a PR strategy for retainer clients in the entertainment and lifestyle space
• Lead the day-to-day account management of PR outreach
• Lead weekly status calls and communication with clients
• Proactively pitch media angles – business to lifestyle press
• Foster creative solutions for “new” news
• Support new business pitches and PR strategy development
• Supervise team in development of status reports, billing and other daily account maintenance
• projects
• Network on behalf of clients and the agency
• Help develop and implement PR-worthy activations – events, talent deals, partnerships, sponsorships, promotions, digital initiatives
• Work closely with creative, planning, account management, digital and production counterparts at Grey and with outside partners
• Contribute to overall Grey agency culture
