Job Description
Ubisoft Entertainment, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a Business Plannerfor its Strategic Planning & Analysis department. This individual will be supporting digital accounts in an analytical, reporting, and strategic planning role. The individual will be responsible for conducting sales and financial analysis of video games performance, providing analytical support for Ubisoft products, and completing ad-hoc research projects. The position is based in San Francisco, CA and will report to the Digital Planning Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze events and impacts from promotional parameters, seasonal trends, markdowns, and marketing activities.
• Identify business opportunities by understanding product lifecycles, profitability measures, digital assortment needs, and the competitive landscape.
• Using advanced Excel/Database skills that incorporate financial modeling, situation analysis, and problem diagnosis to support ad hoc business decisions.
• Work with a specific Business Planner on the team to provide analytics and performance reporting on overall trends of Ubisoft digital titles.
• Support new ways of reporting or analyzing digital product through data-driven insights, identify gaps in analysis, and innovate new ways of answering questions
• Monitor market to best understand digital price optimization and consumer appetite for digital content.
• Work on ad-hoc market-level projects on gaming industry trends, working closely with cross-functional sales and marketing teams to seek opportunities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in statistics, math and/or business required.
• 2-4 years of experience
• Must have advanced Excel skills with proficiency in VBA.
• Candidate must show strong analytical skills, preferably with experience in sales planning.
• Ability to understand and interpret large amounts of data to develop actionable reports/analyses.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with data reporting software such as MicroStrategy a plus.
• Passion for video game industry a plus.
