Position Summary:
Assist the Wardrobe Supervisor to ensure that the appropriate level of service and support is being provided. Assist with and monitor all Wardrobe operational areas and associates. Perform duties and assume responsibilities that may be assigned by the Wardrobe Supervisor.
Scope and Responsibilities:
1. Determines and delegates relevant job task to Wardrobe Associates.
2. Establishes and monitors daily lunch and break schedules for all Associates working in Wardrobe locations, and monitors the daily labor budget.
3. Assists Wardrobe Supervisor in evaluating job performance of all Wardrobe Associates.
4. Communicates all relevant information regarding wardrobe personnel concerns to the Wardrobe Supervisor.
5. Responsible for maintaining all Wardrobe Associate files and regularly updating contact logs.
6. Reviews Wardrobe inventories and supplies daily and re-orders as necessary.
7. Undertakes a supervisory role in the absence of the Wardrobe Supervisor.
8. Consistently provides feedback to Wardrobe Associates regarding their job performance.
9. Performs laundry work as necessary.
10. Issues wardrobe items as needed to Model Citizens.
11. Completes appropriate paperwork/data entry for issuance of garments and accurately tracks all incoming/outgoing wardrobe items.
12. Has a detailed understanding of what constitutes a complete outfit for each Park area and issues accordingly.
13. Handles incoming laundry from areas throughout the park, helping track garments through the appropriate tracking system.
14. Responsible for receiving clean wardrobe from vendors and processing related paperwork.
15. Keeps wardrobe areas clean and organized.
16. Looks for new ways to improve the wardrobe item issuance procedures and improves service.
17. Communicates all relevant information regarding wardrobe personnel concerns to the Wardrobe Supervisor.
18. Works in cooperation with the Wardrobe Associates and Wardrobe Supervisor to ensure that appropriate level of service support is being provided.
19. Performs duties and assumes responsibilities that may be assigned by the Wardrobe Supervisor.
Background and Experience:
One year of Theme Park experience as a Wardrobe Associate is highly desirable, but not mandatory. Requires strong interpersonal skills, must be polite, friendly and outgoing. Must be a team player with progressive experience in a lead/OJT role. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Requires the ability to self-initiate activities and coordinate daily tasks. Must be able to work with minimum supervision and make decisions for the wardrobe operations in the absence of the Wardrobe Supervisor. Must be organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Basic math skills are required. Basic sewing skills are required.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required, college degree or coursework preferred.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support park operations.
