Job Description
Wynn Resorts is the recipient of more Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Las Vegas opened on April 28, 2005 and was once again named the best resort in Nevada on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2018 “Gold List,” a title received for the tenth time. Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.
The Beach Club Life Guard is responsible for providing professional and courteous customer service to each and every guest. Service should be consistent with Forbes 5 Star Standard rating. All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Wynn company standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean area in and around swimming area
• Complete daily set up and break down of the pool deck
• Consistently delivering exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner
• Ensure safety as a first priority in accordance to Lifeguard and CPR Certifications
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work station in accordance with Clark County Health standards
• Assist guests in pool related services
• Flexibility to perform other job related tasks as deemed necessary by management
• Adhere to and enforcing company specific safety policies.
Job Requirements
• Must be able to communicate in English with guests and co-workers,
• Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat and sun
• Willing to work in a loud and smoke filled environment
• Consistently maintain a well groomed appearance, posture and hygiene deemed by management
• Minimum of 1 year work experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant
• Possession of /or ability to possess a valid certification from the American Red Cross in CPR
• Possession of /or ability to possess a valid Lifeguard and First Aid Certification
• The ability to work within a team environment
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
• Must be 18 years of age
