Job Summary

Horizon is currently looking for a Los Angeles based Associate Analytics Director to do great work with us. The ideal candidate has extensive hands on experience applying analytics skills within a marketing context, is passionate about leading an exceptional data science team and continuously seeks to improve our measurement offering for our clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• 30% Structuring and running analytics projects
• 20% Leading and mentoring analytics team members
• 25% Being curious to find better ways to help our clients through applied data science
• 25% Partnering with internal teams, external partners and our clients
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor Analysts, Senior Analysts and Analytics Managers on the Analytics team
Knowledge and Skills Required
• You should have 5 to 6 years experience with:
• Working in a client services environment and helping clients succeed
• Building strong relationships across teams in a matrixed organization
• Creating frameworks to structure, execute and evaluate marketing measurement initiatives
• Efficiently working with data and applying statistical methods in a marketing environment
• Telling compelling stories and tailoring your message to specific audiences
• Leading and mentoring analytics team members
• Creating a positive team culture that rewards curiosity and encourages risk taking
• Continuous learning and suggesting better ways of servicing our clients
• We know that there are a lot of tools out there and ideally you know how to use these:
• Ad-servers and verification tools (i.e. Google Marketing Cloud, DoubleVerify)
• Demand Side Platforms (e.g. The Trade Desk)
• Site and app analytics (i.e. Google Analytics, Kochava)
• Social listening (e.g. Netbase)
• Data Management Platforms (e.g. Neustar)
• Research Vendors (i.e. Kantar, YouGov)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
• Self-serve analytics platforms (e.g. Alteryx)
• Scripting languages and relevant packages (e.g. R & tidyr)
• Integrated development environments (e.g. RStudio)
• SQL to query relational databases
• Bonus points if you:
Passionately argue against the use of pie charts
Certificates, licenses and registrations
