The position:
We have an opening for an experienced User Experience Designer to expand our team of engineers who are developing CenturyLink’s Cloud and Cloud Management offering. This person will contribute to building one of the products that run as part of our cloud architecture, touching all aspects of the development lifecycle from coding to deployment all the way to support.
Reporting to the Director of Product, the UX Designer will be a critical member of a high-performing team accountable for the definition and commercial success of highly advanced cloud management sites that are used by major businesses every day. This UX Designer will guide and collaborate with on-staff Creatives and Product Managers on defining the strategic direction and ongoing refinement of the digital assets and contribute to user experience vision.

UX Designers play an essential role in the strategy, conception and design of elegant ideas, products, and services. You will work closely with our local Agile development teams, integrating with a using a combination of XP and Kanban practices and processes. You’ll be encouraged to collaborate closely, deliver small pieces of working design, and collaborate frequently. You’ll work with the top engineers in the market and see your designs come to life.
You will help coordinate design and frameworks with other UX teams at CenturyLink, helping to champion the best ideas and strongest approaches.

Qualifications
Your experience:
• You have strong web UI/UX design principles, visual design and storytelling skills.
• Help architect intuitive interaction and user-centered workflows that drive efficient engagement.
• You’re able to turn typography, color, layout and imagery into cohesive and compelling messages.
• You are motivated, have a meticulous attention to detail, and are always pushing yourself further.
• Help architect intuitive interaction and user-centered workflows that drive efficient engagement.
• Have a mobile first mentality but also create and design interaction patterns for tablets and desktop.
• Continuously seek out opportunities to stay current on design trends and best practices in an effort to help keep the team current
• Strong portfolio of work that includes innovative designs patterns, typography, and screen layouts for software and web applications. Please include a link to your portfolio/website on your resume.
• Partner with Art/Creative, Product, Editorial and Engineering to help drive UI design quality from conception to release.
• Experience with Sketch and Invision is preferred, but Adobe tools are also welcome.
• Consulting Level Bachelor's degree with typically with 8+ years of experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Master's Degree.
