POSITION SUMMARY AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Content Marketing Manager Resources is part of the Global Institutional Marketing team. The role is responsible for the initiation, creation and execution of all sales enablement tools and collateral for the Springer Nature institutional sales and marketing teams. This role is key in:
• Providing positioning and messaging for our broad range of products and services to the institutional markets as well as the internal commercial organization.
• Driving content marketing with high standard creative and delivering information, collateral, playbooks, presentations and multimedia for engagement.
• Providing sales and marketing colleagues with the right information and materials to market and sell effectively.
• Adapting new formats going forward and handling translation in local languages where required.
• Managing projects that support the annual targets in institutional revenue, customer retention, new business and usage.
• Auditing and reviewing current outputs and assessing needs for updates or new approaches where necessary
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Manage a broad range of sales enablement tools, creative and information projects.
• Contribute to an annual resources plan for the institutional market and sales teams that is part of the global content marketing plan. The plan is global and includes regional and/or market variations where needed.
• Develop key positioning and messaging and associated resources across products for the institutional market.
• Engage, understand and work in close cooperation with the sales teams, the commercial institutional marketing team and other marketing teams within Springer Nature.
• Manage priorities and keep close links across the broader marketing team who focus on strategic projects, Academic, Government and Corporate marketing.
• Develop strong relationships with editorial and publishing colleagues to help inform resource development and key trends and topics across our products
• Deliver high quality and engaging content that supports sales and marketing objectives.
• Keep on top of industry topics, developments in marketing best practice and expertise to help inform our activities and ensure we remain thought leaders
• Manage efficient translation process with external and internal partners.
• Coordinate intranet communication and write blog posts for internal stakeholder groups.
• Manage project KPI’s and project budgets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 to 4 years proven marketing experience preferably in the Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) sector.
• Comfortable in dealing with a broad range of complex projects while having focus on execution.
• Excellent copywriting skills.
• Good knowledge and understanding of current trends in publishing and librarian community.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to partner with different levels and units throughout the organization and externally.
• Candidate should possess strong teamwork skills.
• Proactive style with strong interpersonal and networking skills.
• Able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, anticipate required activities/tasks, and work according to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Flexibility and openness to innovative ideas.
• Able to present clearly and confidently.
• Comfortable to work to deadlines and within budget.
• Extensive MS Office suite experience
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally - 30%
