Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Advertising facilitates and oversees all advertising and media projects handled by the external agencies to support Eldorado Resorts Inc.’s business goals and objectives while protecting and enforcing strict brand standards across all marketing content, media, and collateral. The position provides brand marketing support for the company’s internal teams and guides digital engagement content as well as marketing collateral.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To facilitate and oversee all projects handled by advertising agency for ERI. Oversee and maintain advertising budget with finance and operational divisions of ERI and advertising agencies of record.
• Daily contact with staff of advertising agency to follow through on ERI projects to maintain accuracy, deadlines and delivery dates. Discuss advertising projects with marketing department staff as needed. Liaison with internal marketing staff and agencies of record. Monitor media and production budgets for Advertising.
• Engage in ideation phase and internal review of plans/concepts/projects with advertising agency.
• Review media project request forms from advertising agency to gain alignment on the planning parameters and expected outcome.
• Work closely with advertising and media agencies to execute marketing/media programs.
• With VP and SVP, provide feedback and approval to advertising agency for all media plans (on and off-line) and marketing programs.
• Oversee websites content, both internally and with advertising agency.
• Direct contact with agency to approve copy, photography and advertisements and ensure deadlines and delivery dates are met.
• Participate in bimonthly meetings with staff and advertising agency staff to discuss current and projected projects.
• Attend local and out-of-town advertising related programs, seminars, trade shows and other travel as deemed necessary by the Senior Vice President of Operations.
• Ensure maintenance and protection of intellectual property
• Meet with DOMs across the ERI family of brands and attend campaign presentations/shoots, with advertising agency at properties as needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Extensive experience with media planning, budget management
• Requires outstanding professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of positive media relations and proactive leadership abilities
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Deadline-oriented approach essential
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook PowerPoint, Keynote presentations
• Excellent collaborator with equal ability to take initiative as a self-starter while keeping key stakeholders apprised of issues, progress and opportunities
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years strong advertising and marketing experience required. Casino gaming, advertising agency experience preferred.
