Job Description
Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is seeking an Associate Director, Media Strategy & Insights. Working within the media team, the Associate Director will be an experienced and forward thinking media professional, who is responsible for the application of data driven insights into media planning, investment and measurement process.
The Associate Director will work with senior management, analytics, brand and media teams to help shape media strategy, evolve performance measurement and deliver impactful consumer intelligence.
The right candidate will possess a proven track record of translating research and data into actionable insights for the marketing and advertising industry.
Responsibilities
• Drive a culture of always-on data driven decision making that will institutionalize the use of consumer-driven analytics in media investment planning.
• Work closely with the media teams to deliver on data driven media investment decisions (how much, where, when, which channels, etc…). Transform performance results and learnings into actionable strategy and planning to drive a system of media excellence.
• Lead market and competitive analyses efforts, with internal and external partners. Organize and leverage the latest content and consumer trends through syndicated research resources.
• Prioritize consumer first insights through reports, presentations, workshops and briefings in order to maximize media effectiveness.
• Serve as internal expert on media and marketing measurement, including traditional and digital channels. Design, interpret and improve upon research methodologies for media effectiveness measurement.
• Partner with brands, media managers and agencies to ensure better alignment between measurement, reporting and strategic business objectives.
• Work closely with analytics teams to standardize KPIs, automate standard reporting and optimize the sharing of data driven insights.
• Scope and direct advanced analytics and research projects to ensure that the deliverables are designed to answer valuable brand and media team questions.
• Lead the deployment and implementation of measurement tools, including marketing mix modeling, campaign measurement and creative benchmarking.
• Act as a liaison between media teams and key data stakeholders. Actively develop relationships and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between marketing teams.
• Lead relationships with agencies, external consultants and vendors to source tools and manage consulting assignments.
• Support testing, best practices and learning agenda efforts.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in quantitative/ business discipline. Masters/ MBA a plus.
• 8+ years’ experience in Media Planning, Marketing Analytics or Consumer Insights Research.
• Strong communication skills, both internal and external, with ability to translate findings and recommendations out in a simple and effective manner.
• Strong understanding and experience with media buying, KPI development and research practices during campaign planning and execution.
• In depth knowledge of user research methodologies and research tools (Nielsen, MRI, Comscore,…).
• Thorough understanding of TV and digital measurement. Proficiency with syndicated research tools in TV, digital and social media required.
• Video Game and/or other entertainment marketing experience preferred. Consulting experience a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
• Proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel required. Additional analytics or database solutions a plus.
