Job Summary
The Manager Solution Architect Team, IT & Managed Service is accountable for region net revenue growth that is aligned to Sales within the CenturyLink Sales region. Responsibilities include technical Solutions Specialist leadership for the combined functions of cloud, dedicated managed hosting, hosting security, and managed services and IT consulting services within the region. This position requires understanding market requirements for IT infrastructure outsourcing services and consulting services. The manager will assist the sales organization in proposing and closing CenturyLink solutions for new business opportunities and identifying specific opportunities for infrastructure outsourcing growth and consulting services within a given market.
Job Description
Essential duties:
• Specialist support for the delivery of pre-sales architectures that optimize a customer’s infrastructure
• Delivery of Program Management and solution development services for major clients
• Bookings and backlog management of all services, with special emphasis on complex, multi-product solutions across the CenturyLink portfolio
• Communicate effectively with peers, superiors and subordinates
• Lead the career development of direct reports
• Partner with the CenturyLink sales team and become a trusted advisor to sales
• Identifies, understands and solves complex internal and external issues for customers and employees.
Objectives:
• Increase the CenturyLink net revenue in the applicable region in order to meet or exceed the prescribed quota on a Q over Q, and annual basis
• Hire and retain individual contributors that meet the established qualifications and productivity standards for their respective positions, maintaining 100% headcount on a Q over Q basis.
• Participate in the regional Sales VPs high impact opportunity and funnel inspection process within the region, producing an opportunity funnel that meets or exceeds the established standards of the organization
• Align support resources to opportunities
Responsibilities:
• Schedule and lead effective team meetings which will include field and or corporate resources.
• Establish and maintain an active local or regional network of qualified, successful candidates for individual contributor support positions.
• Continuously evaluate and develop the performance of individual contributors through team and 1-on-1 sharing of best practices, scheduled and ad-hoc training sessions, and available corporate performance management resources.
• Involvement in external associations, such as outsourcing, and high end technology associations
Qualifications
Required skills:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 to 10 years progressive experience, including 5 to 7 years in consulting, or IT outsourcing services, and technical management
• Ability to identify, recruit and develop a successful team
• Proven track record of leading technical pre-sales team in the achievement of sales results on a year over year basis
• Sales and technical aptitude necessary to develop relationships at C Level within client accounts and drive business development as the executive sponsor in these accounts
Desired skills:
• Demonstrated level of success in the development of IT outsourcing services
• In-depth knowledge of CenturyLink hosting and cloud offerings, products and services
• Strong sales aptitude, and solid understanding of the industry
• Strong existing industry relationships
