The Activision Blizzard Consumer Products Group is looking for a highly motivated, energetic and financially minded individual to join the finance & strategy team.
The Financial Analyst will support financial planning & operations for the Blizzard Entertainment Consumer Products Group including budgeting, forecasting, business insights, and system & data management for consumer products financial functions.
You have financial and business analysis experience, are extremely detail oriented, and have experience working within the consumer products or entertainment industries.
Problem solving, prioritizing the need for timely answers and attention to detail are second nature. You thrive in a rapidly evolving environment and are adept at driving meaningful results. This position will provide centralized consolidation of information, analysis, & recommendations to key leaders within the Blizzard Entertainment CPG team and the larger Activision Blizzard CPG organization.
Location: Irvine, CA
Responsibilities:
• Normalize and consolidate a variety of disparate performance reports (licensing royalty reports, online sales reports, sales invoices) to compile comprehensive business reporting data.
• Support development of departmental forecasting, allocations, and long-range plans including Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Handle all aspects of budgeting, purchase order approval process, operating plan forecasting, and tools management to ensure the accuracy of information.
• Lead systematic data loading & reporting of all financial systems used for forecasting and planning.
• Provide consolidated data to business leads in a user-friendly way, enabling self-service access to product level performance data.
• Layer expert analysis and industry insight on top of data to create recommendations and be able to relate them to business or franchise strategy.
• Support management team and business leads with ad hoc projects, analysis, and reporting.
• Support strategic business development projects, growth initiatives, & long-range planning.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in operations finance, FP&A, management consulting or investment banking.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; advanced degree a plus.
Required Skills:
• Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and financial management tools.
• Strong personal presence and communication to work across finance, development and executive leadership in pursuit of business goals.
• Able to work and problem solve independently, to organize workload and priorities, and complete tasks on time.
• Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Ability to be adaptable in a constantly evolving work environment.
Pluses:
• Experience in the consumer products, licensing, or gaming/entertainment industries.
• Experience with Oracle Essbase products.
• Experience with consumer products reporting, analytics, & royalty management.
• Knowledge and passion for video games & consumer products.
