Coordinator, Studio & Technical Operations - Spectrum Sports

What we’re looking for:
Spectrum Networks is looking for a talented individual that is passionate about creating sports and news television. The Production Coordinator will support all live and taped studio based programming in a wide variety of ways. The ideal candidate has basketball, baseball, and soccer knowledge. Experience working in a technical, live environment is strongly preferred.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist management with scheduling and personnel related projects.
• Create and maintain daily production schedules for the team.
• Organize and help support management in meetings.
• Coordinate and plan live events in the field.
• Manage inventory lists and equipment maintenance projects.
• Provides support in the control room or other locations during remote events and/or studio productions in a wide variety of ways.
Qualifications:
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Positive interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word & Excel.
• Familiarity with studio and control room job functions is a plus.
• Good organizational and project coordination skills are necessary.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints is required.
• Exposure to remote production planning is desired.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours, work on location, etc.
Knowledge & Experience
• Must be willing and able to learn, understand and grow with the business.
• Familiarity with studio, production, and post production equipment and software is preferred.
• Basic understanding of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of Television Broadcasting systems.
• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of television production equipment and software is preferred.
• Knowledge of studio-based production and post production techniques preferred.
• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Must be willing and able to learn, understand, and grow with the business.
• Team-oriented in a highly collaborative environment.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
• Flexible during times of change.
• Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
• Able to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while being held accountable for actions and results.
Education & Experience:
• College diploma or university degree in the field of Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, Engineering and/or a minimum of 1-3 years equivalent work experience.
