Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for distribution, inventory operations and procedures in maintenance warehousing and storage of spare parts and equipment. Work with supervisors and managers on data based work order system which requires date input, basic monthly reports and follow up on work order status. All functions are performed in accordance with departmental and LEGOLAND California policies, practices and procedures. Performs other maintenance functions within theme park and assists other maintenance MCs as deemed necessary by maintenance supervision.
Scope and Responsibilities:
1. Issues tools and supplies to specific theme park departments and controls the return and appropriate charge out.
2. Maintains a back-charge log for everything that leaves the stockroom.
3. Maintains a tool and parts check system.
4. Ensures all parts and supplies are stored in proper referenced locations and all parts have proper identification numbers.
5. Visually checks and inspects returned hand tools and ensures that power tools are tested.
6. Responsible for maintenance dispatch base station, logs all work order and ride down calls, routing them to the appropriate supervisor.
7. Ensures that all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times.
8. Recognizes equipment that needs repair, replacing, or adjusting.
9. Keeps safety as #1 priority.
10. Responsible for protecting materials, parts, supplies and tools against damage, waste, etc.
11. Receives delivered items and inspects physical condition of equipment, then forwards to proper departments. Unloads, unpacks and verifies incoming and outgoing shipments and checks against purchase orders and shipping papers.
12. Disposes of waste packing materials.
13. Input data into MP2 work order system such as equipment preventative maintenance program
14. Follow up on the outlook based work request program.
15. Have regular meetings with manager on passed due work requests.
16. Follows LEGOLAND California policies and procedures at all times.
17. Liaison with fellow maintenance Model Citizens and other departments.
18. Attends staff meetings for purpose of informing and training.
Background and Experience:
Previous storage room and warehouse procedure experience preferred. Knowledge of tools and supplies associated with maintenance and construction preferred. Computer literacy is required. Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills in order to perform the above mentioned duties are required. Demonstrated ability to follow directions effectively, and to observe and remember details. Ability to maintain a friendly, polite and customer service oriented demeanor is required. Effective decision-making skills are required.
Education:
A high school diploma or general education degree (or equivalent education and experience) is required.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends to support park operations.
Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, proof of insurance and be willing to utilize own vehicle for business purposes.
Must have excellent communication skills and a working knowledge of Excel, Word, powerpoint and outlook
