Job Description:
The role of Sales Director, Risk & Reputation is to assist the VP of Risk & Reputation in driving and growing revenue with Storyful’s key partners. The Risk & Reputation sales team is the external sales arm of the Storyful insights, intelligence and risk arm, and works with the world’s largest and most innovative communications & PR agencies, consultants and corporates to help them identify opportunities as well as mitigate against risk for brands.
The Sales Director, Risk & Reputation will support and provide best in market service and solutions to Storyful’s partners.
You will drive and develop long term client and agency relationships and negotiations alongside Storyful’s Intelligence and Product teams to deliver customer centric solutions.
Responsibilities
● Meet and exceed your revenue targets by prospecting, pitching and closing sales
● Seek and identify new business prospects for the Risk and Reputation division
● Deliver feedback from clients to our product and marketing teams to help continue to refine our go to market strategy and products
● Maintain rate integrity to meet budget
● Manage client deliverables (investment schedules, proposals, client updates, meetings and presentations)
● Build and maintain client relationships and ensure high levels of sales service and a customer centric approach by working alongside Partnership coordinators and resolving issues in a timely manner
● Collaborate closely with other divisions of the business including Product, Intelligence, Editorial, Creative & Operations and develop relationships with News Corp business counterparts
● Prepare and deliver weekly reports (gap analysis), revenue reporting and forecasting
● Complete salesforce pipeline management
● Develop annual and quarterly account plans
Requirements
● 5-7 years experience in a revenue-focused sales role within the PR, consultant, digital marketing/advertising or social media industry
● Proven to thrive in a startup environment
● Commercially focused, proven record of prospecting, growing and managing revenue
● Expertise in the digital marketing ecosystem, including but not limited to insights and research, UGC, video, brand content
● Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience favorable
● Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, the Google tool-set and other cloud based business tools
● An expansive network of client and agency connections with expert networking abilities and ability to build extensive list of prospects
● Strategic solutions seller with a consultative style, enterprise experience a plus
● Exceptional business writing and communication skills
● Some travel may be required
