JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fox News Channel is seeking a Manager of Business Development focused on growing existing strategic partnerships and strategy. The role will cover Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network across all digital platforms. The position reports to the Sr. Director of Business Development in New York.
This is a fast-paced position for a versatile and motivated candidate who specializes in managing relationships, and growing existing revenue streams. The candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to prioritize and have exceptional organizational skills.
This is a small team where you will get exposed to many different aspects of the cable TV, advertising and digital business. The employee would be evaluated based on their ability to make thoughtful recommendations, execute and grow existing partnerships.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Grow existing digital revenue streams including video and text syndication and contextual partnerships (i.e content recommendations and others)
• Work to implement new partnerships and manage ongoing relationships as soon as the deal is signed
• Determine appropriate cadences for all existing Business Development partnerships (20+)
• Liaise effectively across many different departments and stakeholder groups across the company including finance, digital, editorial, programming, engineering and marketing
• Monitor and analyze various types of data from partnerships, ad campaigns and analytics
• Determine KPIs and create reports to monitor success of various partnerships
• Grow, build and cultivate existing external and internal partnerships
• Create internal strategies and recommendations that will help yield incremental traffic and / or revenue
• Identify threats to the digital ad business, create strategies to mitigate or eliminate
• Stay abreast of industry developments, technology and competitors
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 3-5 years’ relevant digital experience managing relationships and growing revenue
• Willing and excited to work across many different areas within digital
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills, meticulous follow up
• Highly analytical, ability to interpret data, recognizing inflection points and key insights
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly proficient in creating and presenting PowerPoint decks (Prezio a plus)
• Requires excessive entrepreneurial spirit and drive
• Must have a passion for growth, growing revenue and digital media
• Exceptional understanding of digital landscape and ecosystem, key players, revenue models, big data, OTT and ad digital technology
• Knowledge of basic analytics platforms (Comscore, Omniture and Chartbeat / Parse.ly)
• College degree preferred
