Job Description:
The award winning Dow Jones’ in-house Studio unit, is a fast-growing team of energetic writers, content and creative strategists, videographers, designers, photo editors and developers. The work spans a variety of forms -- short- and long-form reported articles, immersive digital experiences, documentary videos, data visualizations, animations and more. This is an on-site (NYC) full-time position. The Dow Jones stable of brands includes: The Wall Street Journal, WSJ. Magazine, MarketWatch, Barron’s, Mansion Global, Moneyish, and more.
The Sn. Project Manager will oversee Dow Jones’ advertising creative projects from pre-sale through to post-sale as a creative resource manager, cost management and production expert. The PM is accountable for planning and implementation, as well as tracking cost, resource time spent, project schedules, SOW’s, client timelines and creative deliverable output for specific projects. The PM will manage the client relationship as it pertains to the project output and will liaise closely with business leads to ensure successful production from end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and grow customer relationships by gaining a thorough understanding of clients business and their objectives
• Take a leadership role with internal edit, design, technology and production resources to deliver campaign components
• Liaison with internal cross-functional teams on Ad Ops and Print departments for launch of campaign components
• Review all strategy, copy and design based on a client’s marketing and business goals
• Stay abreast of content marketing and native advertising trends in order to best service client accounts
• Provide clear but thorough verbal and written communications to clients
• Manage multiple projects and clients at a time
• Identify opportunities for innovation and account growth
• Develop detailed schedules, work plans and resource requirements
• Proactively identify, manage and resolve issues and risks
• Ensure project stakeholders and management are kept appropriately informed of project status and that there is sufficient record of meetings and decision-making
• Participate and lead in client presentations
Knowledge/Experience:
• 3 years project management experience
• Bachelor’s degree. Related field of Media Studies, Communications or Journalism a plus
• Understanding of the nuances of content development and distribution across platforms
• Fluency with industry digital media terminology (eg. CPM, Impressions, SOV, SOW, GIF vs Flash), as well as will applications MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Drive
• Experience with third party vendors (Mediamind, Pointroll, etc.)
• Familiarity with online ad-serving platforms (eg. Doubleclick’s Studio and Omniture) and experience with HTML, Flash and Photoshop
• Some travel may be necessary

• Effective team player with exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Ideal candidate is a self-starter, confident, energetic, positive, focused, dependable, proactive, resourceful and possesses a “can do” attitude
• Ability to work well under timeframe pressure, handling multiple projects at the same time and posting colleagues on progress regularly
• Willingness to learn development of new products across platforms
