Description
KGUN, Tucson's ABC affiliate is searching for a Special Projects Producer. The Special Projects Producer will produce compelling stories for multiple platforms in support of the station's ratings growth strategy.
Key Functions:
• Develop, research, plan and produce special projects unit stories
• Perform undercover work or surveillance as necessary
• Work closely with multi-media journalists as stories are produced for multiple platforms
• Write scripts as needed
• Regularly check tip line, e-mails and respond to viewers
• Shoot still and moving video as needed
• Create still graphics
• Edit video for multiple platforms
• Work closely with investigative reporter and content producers
• Basic understanding and demonstration of multi-media file formats and strong computer skills
• Post content to stations web sites
• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws impacting operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
Please note: Valid driver's license, driving record in compliance with station policy, and proof of insurability (liability limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident/$50,000 property as defined by station policy)
