OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY20th Century Fox
One of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures, 20th Century Fox Film (TCFF) produces, acquires and distributes motion pictures throughout the world. These motion pictures are produced or acquired by the following units of 20th Century Fox Film: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox International Productions, and Twentieth Century Fox Animation. During fiscal 2017, TCFF placed 25 motion pictures in general release in the United States. The motion pictures produced and/or distributed by TCFF in the United States and international territories in fiscal 2017 included Hidden Figures, Logan, Jackie, and The Boss Baby. TCFF has released or currently plans to release approximately 23 motion pictures in the United States in fiscal 2018.
JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE:
This position will report to the Director and be responsible for general reporting for the domestic home entertainment accounting department. This includes preparing weekly and monthly management schedules, month end close journal entries, preparation of JV financial statements and associated cash payments, as well as other ad hoc requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Person will be responsible for monthly preparation of Joint venture financial statements for Canadian operations.
• Person will participate in month end close process preparing and reviewing actual results and preparing adjusting entries as necessary.
• Person will assist in reviewing cash receipts and determining cash payments for the JV.
• Person will field questions from Canadian JV partner and follow up as necessary.
• Person will interface closely with IT with to respect system data validation and the operation of present and future accounting and financial systems.
• Person will field and execute ad hoc reporting and analytical requests from executive management.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Business preferred.
• 5 years minimum of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• CPA candidate and entertainment experience a plus.
• Superior Excel proficiency with a strong focus on pivot tables, lookup tables, and charts.
• Word and PowerPoint proficiency a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to work quickly with high accuracy, multitask, and field ad hoc requests efficiently.
• Strong interest in financial analysis and in further developing analytical skills.
• Prior experience with JDE and PeopleSoft a plus.
