SENIOR MOBILE DATA ANALYST
Do you see number in all aspect of your day? 2K is seeking a passionate, creative analyst to work on analytics and business intelligence in its Analytics Mobile Group.
What We Need:
We’re looking for someone who loves games and loves data, who has both the statistical skills to generate cool insights and the communications skills to convey those insights to a skeptical audience. Our ideal candidate has already figured out how to pull numbers for their favorite game and is digging through them for fun.
As a Senior Mobile Game Analyst at 2K, you’ll work with Designers, Engineers, and Product Owners to understand complex data sets and use them to generate targeted insights. Mostly, you’ll turn data into action, driving increased player engagement and fun.
What You Will Do:
• Influence development decisions, live-ops and marketing strategies through fact-based data-driven insights
• Effectively translate statistical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for various stakeholders and leaders on game and publishing teams
• Drive the needle moving improvements via hands-on exploration of data, dashboards, statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
• Help design and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments
• Drive requirements for data collection and for data modeling with data engineers
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:
• BS in a quantitative field (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Engineering, etc). Graduate degree a plus
• Understanding of statistical techniques relevant to games
• Experience tuning analytic data into actionable insights
• Excellent SQL skills
• Strong analytic programing skills: Python, R, Java, or similar
Nice To Have Skills:
• Mobile gaming experience
• Experience processing big data with Spark, Hive, MapReduce, etc.
• Data Visualization: Tableau, R, D3.js, etc.
• Knowledge of game development processes, including the software development lifecycle
