Assistant Manager, Social & Digital Media
Our Home Entertainment Digital Marketing team is looking for an Assistant Manager, Social & Digital Marketing. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing all social channels and assisting Digital Marketing Managers and Directors with digital marketing campaign execution to promote SPHE film releases to the Home Entertainment consumer. This role is an important liaison between the digital marketing team, social agencies and the studio. The candidate will be responsible for managing several different brands concurrently, and their respective social profiles, as well as coordinating with the studio social media representatives for content placement on the studio profiles.
Primary Responsibilities
• Play a key role in supporting branded social media channels for film releases on SPHE’s behalf, including:
• Establish and monitor content calendars, maintaining a consistent voice across channels aligned with branding and target audience
• Work with with the digital marketing team and various social agencies to support with social campaigns, schedule and publish posts across all platforms, upload videos to YouTube, and cover events and live broadcasts/chats when necessary
• Write social media copy for Facebook and Instagram posts, Tweets, etc as necessary
• Assist with advertising buys and reporting on social platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Google, etc.) in the promotional window
• Monitor conversations across social media and address important mentions in real-time through engagement and/or escalation
• Develop social toolkits (i.e. social copy and assets) for the retail marketing and publicity teams to help provide direction to partners and talent
• Discover trending topics, community needs, and interests of SPHE & its film brands’ audience across social media, adjusting content and messaging accordingly
• Analyze campaign data to provide performance recaps and recommended improvements for future campaigns
• Assist with the project timeline and coordinate with Brand, Creative and Legal during the digital asset production, routing and implementation process
• Coordinate with the Digital Buying Agency (UM) on digital media plan, creative execution, specs, QA and launch of campaigns
• Partner with the Internet Services Group (ISG) for the implementation, launch, tag management, or Infosec approval for sites, games, and email marketing
• Work with creative vendors on the RFP process – negotiating terms, pricing and deliverables
Requirements for Position
• Minimum of 2-3 years practical communications experience, with demonstrated ability in multiple social media channels
• Background in entertainment, music or video gaming industries are a plus
• Proficiency with social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, and emerging channels
• Highly creative with strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Photoshop
