Quartz seeks a growth marketing manager for subscriptions. (We prefer candidates in New York, where our headquarters are located, but are open to applications from people elsewhere.)
The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with sharp strategic skills who will help build a burgeoning part of Quartz’s business from the ground up. The role requires expertise in user acquisition and retention, product marketing, data analysis and reporting, and user testing. The ideal candidate has an appetite for trying and evaluating new tactics and a proven track record of running profitable subscription-marketing campaigns. This role reports to Quartz’s head of growth marketing.
The growth marketing manager, subscriptions, will:
• Execute Quartz’s go to market strategy for new paid subscription products.
• Work cross-functionally with fellow growth marketers, product managers, data analysts, and editorial staff to implement and iterate on a comprehensive user acquisition and retention strategy.
• Prepare and deliver reports at regular intervals for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with Quartz’s growth and brand marketing teams to convert loyal and engaged community members to Quartz subscribers.
• Foster exploration of new marketing channels by working closely with platform experts to implement tests and scaling tactics.
• Provide constructive feedback to editorial, product, and paid media colleagues to meet campaign goals.

• You have a proven track record of driving subscription growth.
