Job Description
The Financial Analyst provides operational and analytical support for the Sourcing and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) departments. Responsible for supporting enterprise-wide strategic sourcing and procurement that involves data gathering, negotiating agreements with vendors to address business needs, day-to-day purchasing decisions, managing preferred vendor relationships, and analysis of organizational data/spend to identify savings opportunities across the company. This is a hands-on role requiring the willingness and ability to be both strategist and tactician.
Responsibilities:
• Perform expense analytics, market spending analysis, and model potential outcomes to test savings hypotheses and develop recommendations and drive cost savings.
• Participate in the development of sourcing strategy, contract negotiation, and contract execution process; drive efficiency through continuous process improvement and creative cost-saving initiatives.
• Analytical support needed for Vendor Negotiations
• Analyze supplier proposals, spend information, and other data sources to determine vendor and purchasing strategies.
• Category management responsibilities include office supplies, furniture, facilities, utilities, managed print, and technology.
• Administer and maintain contract database (CobbleStone) of corporate and enterprise-wide agreements; lead corporate contract management initiative.
• Manage eProcurement system (Coupa) and support day-to-day end-user purchasing issues.
• Provide management, detailed instruction, and continuous follow-up to support RFP/bids, contract processes, and sourcing initiatives.
• Proactively manage internal and external customer expectations, and provide customer service and support to field users.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative fields
• Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, analytical ability, and proven ability to work within teams in a decentralized environment
• Excellent data analysis skills, including MS Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, as well as confidence in using new function specific resources.
• Ability to effectively interpret and simplify complex financial data and strategies in order to present polished accurate summary information – including data visualization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage change
• 2-5 years work experience required with consulting, sourcing, or procurement experience preferred
• Experience preparing and managing RFP processes and experience negotiating contracts with suppliers for goods and services
• Ability to multi-task and balance long-term and short-term initiatives and projects
• Motivated to grow and perform in a high-performance organization
• Proven ability to deliver results, including cost savings, while maintaining contractual service levels
