Job Summary
Duties include negotiating special pricing and contractual terms and conditions within established boundaries, driving deal acceleration while mitigating risk to the company and driving deal profitability. Leverages experience to make recommendations on unique and complex deal opportunities increasing the win ratio of Sales and works with legal and product through the process.
Job Description
• Develops, evaluates and implements moderately complex pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics for assigned channel. Implements established segment specific pricing guidelines across company product portfolio. Performs setting prices, testing pricing and promotion strategies, and determining go-to-market pricing on new product launches. Participates in Request For Pricing (RFP) process. Communicates and consults with sales representatives.
• Analysis: Calculates impact of pricing changes on gross margin, business case discounts, rebate programs and profitability. Compares data against market practice trends. Projects impact of pricing changes on profitability, ROI and growth rates.
• Trends: Identifies and communicates trends in pricing, and proactively makes recommendations for management decision making. Provides product management and marketing with periodic feedback regarding market and competitive data.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiates payment terms, MSAs and service schedules. Manages contract workflow and provides red line contracts back to legal, sales, and customer. Escalates moderately complex issues to legal or commercial services.
Qualifications
5+ years' experience in Finance, Planning and Analysis
Enterprise Sales Operations Industry Experience Preferred
Education
Bachelors or Equivalent
