GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a range of activities related to the administration of policies and practices in the areas of employee relations, benefits, recruitment, retention and training. Partner with the corporate leadership team to interpret programs that will offer corporate direction to field personnel..
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the functional components of human resources, specifically in the areas of organizational effectiveness, employee relations, training, recruitment and compensation.
• Directs the administration of staffing strategies, hiring processes, and applicant tracking and analysis. Manages relocation, immigration and other responsibilities related to staffing administration.
• Benefits administration – new hire orientation, benefit eligibility and enrollment, employee leave (FMLA, Disability, Workers Comp., STD, LTD, etc.).
• Assist with risk management as it relates to employee safety and awareness.
Maintain the local payroll process including all audit processes (i.e. Sarbanes Oxley).
• Assist in the administration of the company evaluation program.
• Participate in or manage the problem solving complaint procedure, which encourages employees and managers to air specific job related problems. This includes maintaining an open door policy for all employees.
• Conduct employee exit interviews and ensure all paperwork has been completed and all company property has been returned. This includes handling requests to deactivate user log-ins, phone access, etc.
• Handle all requests for personnel information or references to outside parties in accordance with company policy. Represent Mediacom at personnel related hearings and investigations.
• Create and maintain Organization Charts.
• Keep current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contact with others in the field (professional organizations and education groups).
Ensures compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulation (EEO-1 and FCC filings).
• Provide direction to HR staff.
• Coordinate incentive programs and employee activities.
• Provide direction and assistance to all departments in developing and establishing in-service training and educational assistance programs in an effort to upgrade managerial, technical and support level productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as become evident.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience with professional certification
• 5+ years experience in human resource management
• Solid human resources generalist experience
• Excellent interpersonal and written skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), organizational chart software experience (Org Plus preferred), Access a plus.
• Experience in the cable industry or related field preferred
